PSDA Launches Emerging Leaders Committee
PSDA’s new Emerging Leaders Committee is dedicated to engaging the future leaders of PSDA and print-related industries by facilitating a resource network to help build careers, companies and people. Jake Chanson, head of business development at Meridian, is the first chair of the committee. We recently caught up with him to learn more about what the committee is all about.
What is the Emerging Leaders Committee, and what will its mission be?
The committee is dedicated to engaging the future leaders of PSDA and print-related industries. This all-new committee will facilitate a network of resources focused on three things: building careers, building companies and building people.
What does the committee have in store for members?
Members can expect to find an online community to share resources and ideas and ask their toughest questions, a quarterly webinar series, an annual event to keep the community engaged and other helpful tools.
Why focus on emerging leaders as a community?
The future of our industry is changing, and providing an environment to encourage collaboration, sharing of resources and an entrepreneurial mindset will allow our members — and ultimately our industry — to thrive.
What excites you personally about this new group launching?
It ensures PSDA is better representing and engaging the array of leaders in our industry, which will allow us to tap into an even wider variety of expertise and content for our members.
How can someone get involved with the Emerging Leaders community?
There are several ways for members to get involved: They can sign up for webinars, attend our new events and, on a more day-to-day basis, join and participate in our online community. We’ll be keeping our members updated on all our activities via email and social media. You can learn more and join the online community today by visiting www.psda.org/emerging-leaders.
